Workshop on communication skills with the media

On December 11, 2023, the Middle East Forum For Policies and Future Studies organized a workshop titled 'Mastering Media Communication Skills', presented by the renowned broadcaster Ahlam Tabra. This event, held in Gaziantep, Turkey, was specifically tailored for the women of the "Tastakel" Organization.
A part of the workshop was attended by Nabil Al-Halabi, President of the Middle East Forum For Policies and Future Studies. Moreover, each of Hind Abboud Kabawat, President of the Tastakel Organization, the media personality Reem Sahmarani, the Program Coordinator at the Middle East Forum, and Munir Al-Ayoubi, the Media Coordinator for Tastakel in Turkey attended the event.
To begin, lawyer Nabil Al-Halabi emphasized the significance of building the capacities of the elites in Arab societies, particularly women. He highlighted their resilience and leadership, demonstrating an active role across political, economic, and social spheres despite the challenging circumstances in our region. Al-Halabi also commended the role of Tastakel in enhancing the position of Syrian women and creating spaces for dialogue and peace within the Syrian society.
Hind Kabawat spoke about the role of workshops in building the capacities of activists and their positive impact on civil society. Additionally,  Ahlam Tabra discussed the nature of the workshop organized by the Middle East Forum, its goals, and its significance. Tabra focused on empowering political and societal elites to convey their ideas through media, emphasizing the importance of possessing the necessary skills for effective communication.
